Changes have been brought to the QST Credit. Since July 2011, Revenu Quebec implemented the Solidarity Tax Credit. This tax consolidates the QST Credit, the credit for living in Northern villages and the Property Tax Refund.

In order to receive this credit, you MUST be registered to Direct Deposit. As mentioned, Revenu Quebec will pay this credit once a month.
Here are, in large, the Eligibility Requirements:

you are 18 years old or older;

you are a resident in Quebec;

your status is recognized (Canadian citizen, permanent resident, refugee protection act, etc.);

you are confined to a prison or other similar detention centers.

Direct deposit is the only way!
